Hello Barracudas!

We are super excited to swim our last meet of the season! You will find the heat sheet attached. Please print it if you'd like a copy as we do not sell them at the meet.

Meet Theme: DISNEY 

SENIOR SWIM - We will also have our Senior swim for Waterton's 5 graduating Seniors as well as our 2! Bring your cheering voices to make this a special swim for these seniors!

Timeline for our meet:

Pool deck opens at 4:30 PM to set up chairs/spectators. Please do not arrive before 4:30 pm as we really need to be able to set the deck for the meet. If you do arrive and park prior to 4:30, please wait to enter the pool deck until 4:30 pm.

Barracudas arrive by 4:45 PM, warm up starting around 5:00 PM sharp

Pool is cleared for Waterton warm up at 5:25 PM

We will have our timers meeting on the 2nd floor of the clubhouse at 5:30 sharp. All timers for both halves should report to this meeting. Stroke and Turn meeting will be immediately following at 5:30 pm

Senior swim will begin at 5:50 pm sharp! Meet will begin at 6. 

Weather Delay:

The forecast looks to be iffy, so in the case of a delay we ask all swimmers and families to return to their cars. We follow protocol for what events to move through from the league in case of an extended delay and will push as much as possible to finish out the meet. Please be prepared to wait out any weather that may arise.

Facility Layout:

Our team area will be the area near the fire place at the gate. We will extend to the grassy area along the gate, but we really need the team to be in this area. We had some issues last week finding swimmers. We need the swimmers to be listening for their names and to be accessible to our team area volunteers who are getting them ready for staging. If they are not in this area, they are subject to missing their race!

Our parent seating area is on the gate side of the pool. Please leave a walkway for timers and stroke and turn to pass through. If you are in the front from near the pool, please be cognizant of the start/strobe as standing in this row will prevent timers from seeing it. 

Staging area will be on the far side of the pool along side the blocks. Please make sure that your swimmers are in the team area so that our coaches and staging volunteers can get your swimmers to the blocks!

We ask that parents refrain from standing directly behind or in the way of timers and officials working on either side of the pool, we want to make sure both ends of the pool stay as traffic free as possible. We know you want to watch your kids swim, but if you are blocking a timer, you are prohibiting the timer to get an accurate time! 

Parking:

Our parking lot is small and is first come first serve. The back portion of the lot is reserved for tennis, so please DO NOT park there. No swimmers are allowed on the tennis courts at any time. As you pull into the neighborhood, you will see no parking signs on the right side of the street along that road. Please adhere to only parking on the left side of the street to allow traffic flow in the neighborhood to continue as well as in the case of an emergency it leaves a clear path for emergency vehicles.

Concession Stand:

Concession stand will be open for the duration of the meet! We have yummy food to feed your swimmers! 

Volunteers:

Please check in upon arrival. We really need all volunteers checked in no later than 5:20 pm. We are super busy for home meets, so please check in asap! If you have not worked your FOUR shifts, this is your last opportunity to do so. Families who have not worked 4 shifts will be charged the penalty fee as agreed upon during registration.

Reminder - we are a smoke free, alcohol free and pet free facility!

We are going to have a fantastic meet! Bring your dancing shoes because our announcer is AWESOME! Let's swim FAST and have the best environment for our neighbors at Waterton!
