Our team is a competitive summer swim team offering high-quality professional coaching and technique instruction for all ages and abilities. The goal of our team is to provide every member an opportunity to improve swimming skills and achieve success at his or her level of ability, from novice to international competitor. All of our coaches provide assurances that the time children spend in swimming will be quality time.
Does my child need to know how to swim?
Your child should be able to swim a length of the pool by the time meets begin. Swim team is not a substitute for beginning swim lessons. It is a good way for children who can swim to become better swimmers. Older children (12 and up) will need to swim at least two lengths of the pool (50 yards) at meets.
No previous experience is needed in competitive swimming. There are events in freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. Coaches work with the team on these strokes, turns, and starting dives. Team members will not have to swim all strokes to compete. In fact, each swimmer is limited to three individual events per meet.
We are a nonprofit club and we depend on volunteers to operate each year. If you would like more information on our team, please click the contact us button under About Us and submit your information and someone will get back with you to answer any questions you might.
