Home Swim Meet vs. Coopers Pond 6/20

MEET #4 - HOME vs. Coopers Pond

Theme: Christmas in June

We are happy to be hosting Coopers Pond at our pool this week! Let's make sure to be fun and gracious hosts. Wear your team gear and be ready to cheer on the Barracudas for a great meet.

Parking: please use the front area of the parking lot, not the back near the tennis courts. There is a match scheduled and we have to reserve that area for the tennis players. When the lot fills, you may park in the street, but only on the designated side. We must not park on both sides of the street because doing so would prevent emergency vehicles to move through the neighborhood.

Entries and heat sheets are attached to this email. Heat sheets are also available on the Swimtopia app. They will not be sold at the meet.

Our warm ups will begin promptly at 5:00. We ask that you have your swimmers ready for warm up by 4:45, with their name and events marked up, and caps/goggles on. Meet schedules run very tight, so please be on time!

We will be honoring our Seniors this week with their final swim in our home pool.  Don't miss that special event at 5:50!  Our agenda for the evening has been adjusted, so please note the earlier times.

Concessions will be available for purchase. The delicious menu will included pizza, burgers, hot dogs, chips, candy, and drinks. You are also welcome to bring your cooler along with you. Please remember to refrain from glass items and observe the league’s policy of no alcohol on the pool deck.

Please check the volunteer schedule attached to this email. All meet workers are required to check in upon arrival in the team area. Please remember, if you do not show for your work shift, there is a financial penalty. You may find a substitute if necessary. Please make sure your substitute knows to check in accordingly. As a reminder, all shifts must be worked by an adult and children may not accompany them for it.

Timers, be ready for your meeting at 5:20 and S&T judges at 5:35.

It is VERY important that you not leave the meet without checking with a coach. Relays are an important part of a meet. If your swimmer is entered in a relay, the team is relying on them to be there. If there is an unavoidable circumstance and your swimmer cannot swim the relay, please inform a coach as early as possible. In such a situation, we would attempt to find an available swimmer. So, even if your swimmer is not entered in a relay, they could be called upon to sub. Every swimmer is important!

Please make sure you are subscribed for our team Remind! To do so, simply text @nfswimteam to 81010. If there is a weather related delay during the meet, that is the quickest way we can communicate with you. In the event of a weather delay, you will be asked to go to your car to wait it out. Please DO NOT leave the meet. We will make every effort to complete the meet. We have a specific protocol to follow from the league. We will keep you informed via Remind. Please DO NOT message the number. It is for announcements only and messages received will not be answered.

We are collecting donations towards coaches end-of-season gifts!  Please see Amy or Tim on the pool deck to contribute to the special way we honor our amazing coaches each season.

If you have questions, go HERE for lots of great information about meets. You may also see a parent board member on the pool deck, or feel free to email us at [email protected]. We are here to help you!

See you at the pool!
