Away at Evergreen Lakes

The address listed with GCSL is 1230 Denmark Drive, Lilburn. Please arrive at 5:00, but no earlier.  The pool deck will not be available until that time.  Please have your swimmer ready to swim and marked up by warm up time. 

Here is some very important information from our hosts:

Times:

• Pool deck will be opened to families and swimmers at 5:00pm. Gates are locked for setup until 5pm. It is also our picture day, so it may be chaotic prior to 5:00.
• Visiting Team Warm-ups to begin at 5:25pm

• Timer, Stroke and Turn Meetings between 5:30/5:45pm

Parking:

• Swimmer families should park in the lot in front of the clubhouse, and then along one side of the street. Please ask your families to obey the traffic signs so that we do not cause a safety hazard.

Visitor Seating:

• Our seating in general is tight and our team is large. The visitor seating is on the tennis court side of the pool. We will bungie the gate open on that side and the swimmers can set up on the walkway between the tennis courts and the pool fence.
• Visitor spectator seating is along that same side on deck, just leave a walkway along the front edge of the pool for coaches/officials.

Staging:

• Staging is near the pump house on the lake side of the pool (and we may have a blue tent set up over there as a visual).
• The large green event staging sign will be in that area for your swimmers to monitor.

Concessions:

• Our concessions stand (located outside the pool fence on the lake side) will offer dinner items like burgers, hot dogs, baked potatoes, as well as sides, candy, and drinks.
• Cash and Venmo is accepted.
• Our deck can accommodate very small personal coolers, but please ask your team to not bring large coolers. No glass or alcohol.
• We will also have King Of Pops available outside the fence as well.

Theme:

• We will be having fun with a luau themed meet and we'd love for you to join in. Wear your lei's, grass skirts, etc. Heat winners will receive tropical fruit flavored fruit snacks.

Entries and heat sheets are attached to this email. Heat sheets will also be available on the app.

It is very important that all swimmers stay in the team area unless they are staging for a race. They will be called in the team area only. If you have young swimmers, please plan to stay with them in the team area.

Please check the work schedule attached to this email. All meet workers please check in upon arrival. That includes first and second half workers.  

Please make sure you are subscribed to our team Remind. To do so, simply text @nfswimteam to 81010. Please remember, it is used for announcements only.  Do not attempt to message the team through the app. 

If there is a weather related delay during the meet, that is the quickest way we can communicate with you. In the event of a weather delay, you will be asked to go to your car to wait it out. Please DO NOT leave the meet. We will make every effort to complete the meet, and have a specific protocol to follow from the league. We will keep you informed via Remind.

Fun practice will be on Friday at 10:00. We will give out ribbons, eat donuts, and have lots of fun with teammates and coaches. We hope you will all join us for this popular practice.
