How to Mark Your Swimmer
Good Morning Parents!
It was so nice to get the chance to chat with many of you last night! As promised, this is your email about marking your swimmers prior to tonight's meet!
Sharpies are a MUST - sharpie tattoos are a major part of summer league swimming:)
We do ask that for the younger swimmers, you put their last name on the back of their right shoulder. If you put their age in parenthesis, this will also help our volunteers get your swimmer where they need to be!
Next, you will want to put their event information on their arm!
You will want to draw a grid like below ----
E= event number
H = heat number
L = lane number
then write the actual event so that your swimmer knows what they are swimming. (Don't worry, the announcer will remind them what they are swimming when they announce the event. You will find all this information on either your heat sheet or the SwimTopia App. (If you don't have the app......I HIGHLY recommend that you download it! Reading their events on the app is SO MUCH EASIER than reading the heat sheet!
If you mark your swimmer prior to arrival, this will help us tremendously! If you are completely confused, the coaches will be able to help you and your swimmer. If you are confused and can't mark your swimmer, please arrive EARLY so that we can assist. We don't want to cut into warm ups marking up swimmers! We are on a VERY tight timeline to get the meet started!
Can't wait to see you all tonight! Don't forget your red, white and blue accessories!
