It's here! The excitement of the GCSL Championship Meet is in full force. We are eager to watch the swimmers, and enjoy the weekend with our Barracudas family. Here are some very important details you will need in order to navigate the weekend.

Please make sure to have your swimmer(s) ready to swim and meet the coaches at the front entrance of McAuley Aquatic Center at the times listed below (by session):

Session 1: Ages 15-18 Friday @ 3:30 pm

Session 2: Ages 9 & 10 Saturday @ 7:15 am

Session 3: Ages 13 & 14 Saturday @ 1 pm

Session 4: Ages 8 & Under Sunday @ 7:30 am

Session 5: Ages 11 & 12 Sunday @ 12:45 pm

It is imperative that your swimmers meet the coaches ON TIME as they will need to be escorted down to the pool deck with coaches. Make sure to allow for plenty of time to park and walk to the venue. Coaches will assist your swimmers with getting marked up for their events on deck. Coaches will depart the meet up area 5 minutes after the meet up time to ensure enough time to get your swimmers ready to warm up!

Swimmers should have a bag with all items required for their session. That includes cap, goggles, towel, and any other items they may need. Some swimmers bring small games, cards, etc. to help pass the time. We encourage you to NOT send electronics with younger swimmers. Damage or loss of any items is not our responsibility. Swimmers are also permitted to bring a snack and/or drink in their bag. Everything should fit into one bag/backpack that the swimmer is able to transport on their own.

The Psych Sheet is attached to this email. It will tell you the events your swimmer is participating in, and where they are ranked in each event. All of the Barracudas are highlighted in green. Relays are listed as NFP, even if you are not in an individual event, your relay NEEDS YOU! This is the FINAL Psyc Sheet. Please remember that there is a $100 fine for no shows! 

Heat sheets will be sold at the meet for $12, cash only.

We encourage you to arrive early to get a heat sheet!

A Meet Schedule is also attached. This is a snapshot of the weekend and important information for our activities. We cannot stress it enough, swimmers should arrive ready to swim and ON TIME at the front entrance of the aquatic center. Due to MAAPP safety restrictions, parents are not permitted on the pool deck.

A special reminder regarding MAAPP/Safe Sport regulations: adults are also prohibited from taking pictures on the pool deck. This includes coaches, volunteers, or other meet officials. Swimmers are allowed to take pictures of each other. Please use the upstairs and outside areas to take pictures of your swimmer(s).

The Georgia Tech Aquatics Center is at 750 Ferst Drive in Atlanta. Parking details will be released soon. All parking near the facility is paid. Expect it to be around $15. There is usually an option to pre-pay for a discount. We will send that out as soon as we get the link.

No limits on tickets, nor will there be assigned seats. Of course, we ask all teams and families to be reasonable with the number of guests attending per family.

GA Tech Can Food Drive - Please help support the Klemis Kitchen (an on-campus food bank at Ga Tech) by donating canned goods or shelf stable items. The goal is to make sure students are never forced to skip a meal. The Klemis Kitchen supports food-insecure students on campus and homeless people in the Atlanta area. Bins will be at the front door when you enter Ga Tech. Let's join together and show them how strong our LEAGUE spirit is! If each swimmer brings just one item we will fill the bins in no time!

Please make sure that you attend practice Thursday night as we will be distributing County Caps and a small treat to all County Swimmers!
